Apparently well-known and much preferred brand names such as Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Fossil, Cole Haan, Ben Sherman, Tumi, Diesel, Oakley - and even that tough outdoorsy brand name The North Face - all have their own take on the messenger bag for men.

Choose from a sophisticated and trendy leather messenger bag for men; a casual fabric messenger bag or perhaps a more perfunctory laptop messenger bag for men and embrace the 21st century trends where man bags are not man bags, but now the re-branded, much enhanced (and much more masculine) messenger bags for men.

Still not convinced? Does the idea of holding a messenger bag conjure up images of the Friends episode in which Joey Tribbiani became in fact attached to his extremely practical and functional man bag (complete with snacks, obviously) that rather unfortunately resembled granny's shopping bag?
